What is the best way to move a grand piano?

I want to move a grand piano about 15 feet. It has wheels, but they will leave marks in the floor if the piano is rolled. Are there small dollies made for supporting piano legs?

Depends how far you want to move it, and over what obstacles. If you need to move it over stairs or between buildings, hire a piano moving company (your piano tuner can help find one for you).

If it’s a shorter move, say, across the living room, bribe 4 neighbor guys with half a coffeecake.

Try asking some of your friends to come over and help you lift and move the piano

Honestly, pay a professional mover to move it. It was worth it for me.

    two words…..

    Professional Movers.

If they break it they have to fix it. (they have insurance for that)
